Frequently Asked Questions — NDA Mathematics Mock Test
Is this NDA Mathematics mock test free?
Yes — 4 NDA Mathematics sectional tests are completely free on ZestExam. Free account required (30 seconds, no credit card). 120 questions, 150-minute timer, topic-wise accuracy and time analysis.
What is the NDA Mathematics exam structure?
NDA Paper I is Mathematics only: 120 questions, 300 marks, 150 minutes. Each correct: +2.5 marks. Each wrong: −0.83 marks. No sectional time limit — you allocate 150 minutes across 120 questions as you choose.
What level is NDA Mathematics?
NDA Maths is Class 11–12 NCERT level. Major topics: Algebra (Quadratic, Sequences, Binomial), Trigonometry (all identities, inverse trig), Calculus (limits, differentiation, integration), Matrices & Determinants, Statistics & Probability, 2D and 3D Geometry. This is significantly harder than SSC CGL or bank exam Maths.
What is the NDA Mathematics cutoff?
UPSC doesn't publish separate Maths cutoffs. The overall written exam cutoff (Paper I + II = 900 marks) is approximately 338–360 for NDMA (NA) and slightly lower for NDMA (Army). For Paper I (300 marks), most successful candidates score 160–200. Scoring below 100/300 significantly reduces chances.
How to improve NDA Mathematics score from 60 to 100+?
The jump from 60 to 100 comes from two changes: (1) Master Algebra + Trigonometry fully — these 50–60 questions are the most learnable. (2) Stop attempting questions you're unsure about (−0.83 penalty hits hard). Selective attempt with high accuracy beats attempting all 120 with errors.
