Headquarters of Organizations

Headquarters refers to the main administrative center or principal office of an organization. For exam purposes, you need to know the city and country where major organizations are based. This includes UN bodies, international financial institutions, regional organizations, sports bodies, and Indian government organizations

Most UN specialized agencies are headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland or New York, USA. Financial institutions often have headquarters in Washington D. C. or European financial centers. Regional organizations are typically located within their operational regions.

Indian organizations are mostly based in New Delhi, with some exceptions in Mumbai and other cities.
